Erica is a brand new model that called me at the behest of a friend that saw some great potential. Wow... Erica is wonderful. Great makeup, gorgeous and a truly nice person. There will be many more photos of Erica coming soon, but for now enjoy these.

...combines with a little luck. The shot was taken in the shade with main light coming from across the street. We had quite an audience that morning... we were shooting during the shift change at the Sherriff's office. It was a lot of fun... in between sultyr looks Lynne was laughing with the officers. 200mm at 2.8. The wisp of hair that makes the shot so magical blew down and I caught it before Lynne reflexively moved it... whew...

Steve and Cassie are Engaged

Wonderful time this morning shooting this fun couple. He is in technology and she is going to be a vet. Weddng in June... She will be a lovely bride, and they make a great couple.

Shannon and Nick got married

Shannon and Nick: September 30th, in a little town up north.
What a wonderful, delightful couple and wedding this was to do. I really enjoyed being there and meeting all the nice folks. Thanks, Nick and Shannon, for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Hope you like the pics.

Renae and Jim at Town Lake

We wanted to do something a bit different for these engagement shots. Jim and Renae met me this morning at Tempe Town Lake and we shot for an hour. Great couple! I had a lot of fun and they were ready for anything I threw at them. BTW, yes... we had to do a little PShop on the water... it isn't blue in the reality world.

My kids

My oldest wasn't around, but I caught my other two and dragged them down to the studio to do the last shots for my DVD on lighting with inexpensive lighting gear. I will get Shanna down sometime soon so I can complete the set. These shots were done with the same lighting I use in the DVD.

The heat is almost oppressive with afternoon temps reaching 115 in the shade. I haven't shot much personal work lately, so when Christina called, and I had an hour between meetings, we shot a few things. Turned out to be a good shoot and I have posted several images at my Flickr account. Take a look.

Nick and Shannon met on the ice. They are both hockey players. Goalies to be exact. This fantastic couple and I had a great time shooting these engagement pics. Their smiles can light up a city, eh? I am very honored to be chosen as their photographer.

In Sedona with Donna and David

Samantha and Philipp Engagement Shoot

Samantha and Philipp in from Nashville for a visit and fun. So we went out to do their engagement session this afternoon. It was at least 105 degrees... but a dry heat. (Isn't a pizza oven a dry heat?) Well no matter, it was a really fun session and they had a great time.

I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding. What a wonderful young couple. Great job, you two. See you in October!

Sometimes the weather doesn't want to cooperate. But you shoot anyway, and work with the light you have, not the light you wish you had. Ya know....

Donna and David: Sedona

I just shot Donna and David in Sedona. This was a very small wedding, and we had a lot of fun. The next day we visited Jerome and shot some fun images there.

A beautiful bride, handsome groom and great kid. A new family is born.
